janáčkovo nábřeží 53

A tenement house designed by a renowned architect Josef Schulz at Janáčkovo nábřeží is a piece of good architecture from the end of the 19th century providing a high standard of the interior. more

Six stories were refurbished; the house was connected to an underground car park in the courtyard via a new built-in conservatory. We paid much attention to the entry lobby vaulted by three domes and decorated by frescoes in the style of the National Theatre. Each valuable structural element was restored in the house; new grained fire doors were installed at half-landings manufactured according to the original designs and etched glass panes were added according to discovered fragments. A stainless lift built in the courtyard wing is a new element together with paving of the courtyard by sandstone from Havlovice, recessed concrete flower boxes and a new conservatory in the courtyard.
